Helping in-need, K-12, Cumberland Unit #77 students to be successful academically, emotionally, and personally.

Fundraising begins
Shoe and sock bundles are created for each student to be distributed in the Fall before the beginning of the new school year. Shoes and socks are again distributed to in-need children at Christmas so that everyone has something under the tree. A second sign-up takes place in January with distribution in February. This ensures students will have shoes and socks throughout the school year.
Participant Sign-up
Donations from local businesses, organizations, churches, individuals from the community, and fundraising events provide the necessary funding to purchase 300+ pairs of tennis shoes and 2000+ pairs of socks to distribute to in-need students.
The current economic condition of this community has a negative impact on the children in Cumberland schools. Families will need assistance that never imagined they would be facing a monetary crisis. Typical fundraising is not available. Participant numbers are up while the donations are an unknown. We need your help and support. The need is real!
Show how much you value all the children in our community

We are wrapping up the 15th annual Shoe Tree Project. Fundraising begins in April. Sign-ups take place in May for next fall. Help us ensure another successful endeavor. We help these students by providing basic life needs. How can you be successful academically when you don’t have the basic essentials. Many of us take these items for granted. Holes in your shoes or socks, we simply buy a new pair. Outgrown your shoes or socks, buy a new pair, unless there’s no money.
Heard a mother and child talking in a store. The child was begging for new shoes to replace the ill-fitting, worn-out tennis shoes she was wearing. The mother had to explain that there wasn’t any money for shoes right now. Maybe she would get a pair for Christmas. This was August. The need is real!
SHOES AND SOCKS DON’T GROW ON TREES! TOGETHER WE PLANT, CULTIVATE, AND GROW SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS.
